After learning how a lack of access to electricity had affected family friends in the Philippines, Ann decided to work on finding an energy source that wasn’t dependent on money. She came up with the “Hollow Flashlight”; a battery-free flashlight that generates light from the heat of the human hand.

I'm interested that a girl made a flashlight that doesn't need batteries.I would make a vehicle that drives itself,so if someones blind they can just say were they want to go and the vehicle will drive them there. She used creativity and critical thinking to make this new project.

This human powered flashlight is amazing. What sparks my interest about this product is so dependent on humans. If I could create a new invention for my family members In would make a money maker so my mom and dad wouldn't have to go to work.Ann used creative innovation to make this product. This is why A human powered flashlight is awesome!

wait, WHAT?! she made a flashlight that is powered by the heat of your hand? That amazing, and who knew that the human body was equal to 100 kw ! If I could make something that could helping people is by making a electric screwdriver that you could put in your pocket, and I would sell it at a very low price so anyone could buy it and get a job for a construction worker or anything else that you could use with a screwdriver. I saw creative innovation because using heat sensors to activate LED lights is very creative.

I agree with your invention because people have little pockets so they could do repairs. some people don't have Afghan money to get repairs so that idea would help people fix there houses.

Today in spark we watched a video. It was about a girl named Ann who made a battery-less flashlight. What sparks y intrest about this project is that she could even make a flashlight with out batteries .I would make vaccines that don't hurt.So parents can go find jobs to do .They can do that because the vaccines won,t hurt and the parents tell the kids to calm down.I saw critical thinking .I see that because the girl made the flashlights.

what sparked my insistent is that she used body heat to lite a flash lite. I think that if their was so one could help . The invention I would make would be a non harmful knife so no one would get hert but it would still cut throw meats and greads. I think she used Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Confidence by making the battery-free flashlight?

What sparks my interest is that Ann could make a flashlight without batteries! I wonder how long this wonderful project took to make? My aunt has two cats and there is a lot of cat hair so maybe i can invent a vacuum just for cat hair! It would scrub the floor and shoot out soap so you can mop after. I think Ann used creative innovation by coming up with this project, communication by making this great video, critical thinking by studying all of the stuff she had to know, and confidence by sticking with her idea. This was a great video and I hope me and other people will participate in the Google Science Fair.

What "Sparks" my interest in that I mean a 15 year old can create a good tool to help people but, a Flashlight that has NO BATTERYS. I mean like how if you saw the video how can she understand all those gadjets and she is only 15!?!?!?!?!?!? If I could create a tool to help other people if would be a blanket that will putting the blanket in hot or warm water it would become hot or you could put into cold water to make it cold and once you take the blanket out to try it off it will not lose it's warmth. I saw 3 of the 6 C's : Confidence, Cretivity and Critical thinking. I would also make a machine that can tell you if you are eating healthy for people that want to lose weight.

What "Sparked" my idea is that she is a kid and came up with this idea. I saw "Confidence" and "Critical Thinking" in this video. I think she should come up with a "lamp". I would be a costumer for this flashlight. It would help homeless people a night, when they can't see noting.

What sparked my interest is how she made a machine that could revolutionize history. In this video I saw creativity when she made a light that harvest of human heat. I would make a machine that you could put over your head and it would start to give your head patting if you had like a head ache or something else in that catogory. This video has inspired me to make a machine that can work for your good.
