Three friends, Cindy, Lisa, and Tanya, wanted to get pets. Their parents agreed they were responsible enough to adopt one animal each and drove them to the rescue center to meet the animals.
After playing with several animals, each friend chose a different type of animal from the others--a cat, a dog, and a parrot. They gave them three names--Fluffy, Rex, and Tutu, but not necessarily in that order. 1. The girl who adopted the dog did not name it "Tutu." 2. Lisa's pet, "Fluffy," does not have feathers. 3. Rex, who is not a dog, was adopted by Tanya. 4. The parrot was not adopted by Cindy. Can you identify the friend, the type of pet, and the pet's name? Three siblings are all musically and physically talented. Each child has a private music lesson and a private sports lesson each day. Music lessons are offered at 3:30, 4:00, and 5:30 pm at the conservatory, while sports lessons are offered at the field house at 4:30, 5:00, and 6:00 pm.
Betty's saxophone lesson is 60 minutes earlier than Nadine's tennis lesson, but Betty's swimming lesson is 30 minutes later than Nadine's trumpet lesson. Also, Everett's guitar lesson is earlier than Nadine's tennis lesson, and Everett's golf lesson is 60 minutes earlier than Nadine's music lesson. Can you help get the children to their practices in time by identifying the children, lessons, and times correctly? |
